Here's How It Works
3 EASY STEPS
Before you send me your song(s) to be mastered, it is very important to follow these guidelines to ensure the best possible mastering experience.
Make sure that none of the tracks in your project are clipping or peaking. If you have worked with a solid mix engineer or producer on your project, you should not have to worry about this but it doesn’t hurt to double check for yourself. It is very good practice to always make sure that the volume level of your song peaks at around -3db or lower. That gives me the necessary headroom to work with in order to maximize the overall level of your song. If your song is hitting 0.0db or it is clipping, we cannot master the song. So if the song is clipping or peaking above -3db, go back into the session, make the necessary adjustments and turn the levels down on the individual tracks until the master track is sitting at around -3db or lower.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE! Please leave your master track empty before sending in the file. No compressors, limiters or effects. If the master track is limited, hits 0.0db or is peaking/clipping, unfortunately I will not be able to perform an adequate mastering job and therefore will not master the song!!!
Please include the following:
- Song title
- Artist name(s)
- Producer(s)
- Tempo
- Your name, contact information and any additional notes relevant to the project
Once you have sent me your file I will then send you a confirmation email to let you know I’ve received the file(s). Once half of the payment is made, I will send you an invoice for your initial payment and proceed to work on your song (See the make a payment page for more details). You will receive your mastered song within 10 business days. Depending on my current workload, the turnaround time may be longer. (Please contact me before making a payment about turnaround times and if you have a deadline to meet). (Also note that album projects will have longer turnaround times).
Once the mastering is complete, I will send you a WAV file for you to listen to in your own listening environment(s). From here, any feedback or suggestions will be taken and I will implement the changes and send you a new version. This will continue until you are %100 satisfied with the result. If you decide that you want additional changes once the final master has been approved, I can then discuss rates depending on what needs to be done for the additional work.
The contents of the zipped folder being sent back to you will contain, the 24 bit mastered stereo WAV format with a sample rate of 44.100 KHz. It will also include a stereo mp3 format with a 192 kpbs bit rate for online distribution and downloads. If there is any other formatting that you wish to have done (such as a 16 bit file), no problem, just let me know and it will be done for you and included in the folder.

MAKING PAYMENTS
If this is your first time working with me I understand that you are nervous sending money over the internet to somebody that you don’t know. I am a firm believer in transparency and my clients can ensure my professionalism and trust, though I don’t expect for you to have the same trust the first time around. That is the primary reason why I have the money back guarantee policy. I want your experience working with me to be as stressless as possible.
So the way this works is simple. Once your files have been transferred, you make half of the total payment up front. Once the payment is received I will then send you an invoice to your email confirming that the payment was received. During the revision process (if needed), I will send your reference mix/master with a few short dropouts throughout the song. This insures that the mix/master is not suitable for distribution. I can assure you that the dropouts will be short enough that you will still be able to get an accurate assessment of the quality of the mix/master, so not to worry. Once you are %100 satisfied with the result, simply just pay the remaining balance owed (which I can be flexible on depending on the circumstances). Once the final payment is received, an invoice will be sent to your email to confirm payment. I will then send you your mix/master packaged folder.
